Judgment (or Judge Eyes) is another Ryu Ga Gotoku game which is a spinoff of the Yakuza series.
This time, you play as Yagami, a private detective who investigates highly dangerous cases.
Here’s a walkthrough of Chapter 8 (A Broken Bond) of Judgment / Judge Eyes.
Head to Genda law office
After the cutscenes, your first task is to go to the Genda law office.
You will meet Hoshino there.
Head to the Kamurocho PD station
Together with Hoshino, take the cab to the police station of Kamurocho.
There, you’ll have a cutscene showing Yagami, Hoshino and Ayabe discussing who could have killed Shintani and sabotaged Ayabe.
Find a way to meet Matsugane
The best person to find the Mole is Hamura and to find Hamura, you need to meet Matsugane.
The way to meet Matsugane is to go through Higashi. He is at the arcade center called Charles.
Talk to him and Kaito will follow you as well.
Wait for Higashi to call
Next, wait for Higashi to call. Just go around town doing random stuff first.
You will then be contacted by him.
He will ask you to meet Matsugane outside of town.
Go to Kamuro Kikunoya
Now, get to Kamuro Kikunoya, which is a restaurant outside of town. Use any cab and head there.
There’ll be cutscenes as you arrive.
Defeat the Matsugane family
As Yagami refuses to heed Matsugane’s order of not finding Hamura, you need to defeat the Matsugane family.
Leading the family would be Higashi himself.
Higashi uses a sword at first, but after some time, he’ll only be bare-fisted.
After defeating Higashi and the crew, there’ll be another cutscene with Matsugane.
Get a wiretap from Tsukumo
The best way to find out Hamura’s whereabouts is to spy on the Matsugane family.
In order to do so, you need to get a wiretap from Tsukumo.
Go there (cyber cafe) and talk to Tsukumo.
He will then ask for 100,000 yen for the wiretap.
Pay Tsukumo
If you have the money, pay him immediately.
Find money (optional)
Otherwise, you can get money by submitting Renji Honda or Kasai to the loan shark you met in an earlier chapter.
Conveniently, Honda and Kasai will appear nearby.
You will be paid for your service. After getting the money, head back to Tsukumo and pay him.
Wait for Tsukumo to call
Next, you need to wait for him to call when the wiretap’s ready.
Return to the agency
After getting the wiretap, head back to the agency.
Sit down and talk to Sugiura.
Find Tashiro
As Sugiura isn’t able to sneak into the Matsugane building, you need to find a disguise instead.
Look for Tashiro, one of the yakuzas.
The first clue is at Emerald Hill. Talk to the staff in front of the club.
He’ll tell you that Tashiro is probably at Tenkaichi Alley.
Look for one of the small alleys in the area. The map is shown in the image below. You will see Tashiro dressed in gold or yellow.
Defeat Tashiro
You need to defeat him to get his suit.
Wiretap the Matsugane family
With Tashiro’s clothes, head towards the Matsugane building.
Before entering, you’ll meet Sugiura outside the convenience store.
Once you’re ready, walk into the building via the front door.
Search for three outlets
Once you’re in, you need to find 3 outlets to wiretap the place.
There’s also a time limit. The cat is at the window, under the blinds.
The first outlet is at the bottom of the door which you came from.
Next, look for the big plant placed diagonally from the door, at the opposite side of the room. You need to examine it to move it.
Once the plant’s moved, bug the outlet.
The last outlet is at the other corner; head left from the big plant. It’s under the lamp.
Lastly, you’ll be required to wiretap Matsugane’s room as well. Look for the TV screen. The outlet’s beside it.
Defeat the Matsugane family
As you’re heading out, you will be discovered. Defeat several of the Matsugane members.
Get info at L’Amant
After leaving the building, you’ll learn that Hamura is in some gambling place, playing cho-han.
To find out where it is, head to L’Amant, the casino inside Koi Bride.
Talk to this man in front of the door.
He’ll tell you the location if you help him score the beautiful lady at the poker table.
Talk to this lady.
Defeat the lady in poker
You need to win the poker match. This one was easy. She folded from the beginning.
All I had to do was to defeat the other poker player and the match was over.
The guy will then tell you the location and the secret codes to get in.
Find the gambling den
Head towards the gambling area. It’s the only one without a signboard (image below).
It’s at one of the corners.
The correct code
You need to knock the door three times.
The right password is “Can I talk to Moon”.
Lastly, the answer is “Chateaubriand, blue”.
After going in, you will see Hamura gambling.
Defeat Hamura and his crew
You then have to defeat Hamura, his huge bodyguard and the other gang members.
After defeating and interrogating Hamura, his men will set the place on fire, and they escaped.
