Judgment or also known as Judge Eyes is the latest game by the studio Ryu ga Gotoku (who released Yakuza).
This game is divided into several chapters and they’re mostly story-based.
Here’s a walkthrough of Chapter 2 (Beneath the Surface) in Judgment (Judge Eyes).
After the intro, you will appear at a crime scene to investigate one of the 3 guys who died with their eyes gouged out.
Examine the 2nd crime scene
You then need to get to the 2nd crime scene by yourself. The location is shown in the map below.
Go through this small alley.
Verification mission
Here, you need to do a verification mission. The first one you can interact with is this huge trash can.
Next, you can also examine the roads leading to the streets.
One is to Tenkaichi Street but I can’t remember the other one. Regardless, remember that there’s two different entrances you can examine.
There’s also a stray cat here above the stack of yellow boxes.
You can also examine the rubbish dump on the ground.
You will then need to investigate the garbage dump further. There’s a screw at the side of the garbage dump that you need to focus on.
Chase the masked man
There’ll be a cutscene where a masked man while running away from the police, steals your phone.
Chase after that guy.
As usual, you need to press the right buttons when it comes out (e.g. “Triangle”, “Square” and so on).
After reaching the destination, another cutscene appears where he gives you back the phone.
Meet Dr. Moriboshi
After the cutscene, you’ll appear in the alley. Walk out and you’ll get another cutscene where a homeless man complains of stomach pain.
He then asks you to find Dr. Moriboshi who is in the sewer.
Get to the sewer entrance.
You will then see him here.
During the conversation, I chose to say Kondo sent me and it’s the right one.
He will then cure Kondo, the homeless guy.
You will now be able to buy medical kits from Moriboshi and can be treated by him from now on.
Speak with Genda
Next, look for Genda at his main office.
Talk to him. During the cutscene, you will get a side mission by the other lawyer.
Head back to the agency
This side mission is somewhat blended with the main story.
Go back to the agency.
You will meet the client Noriko here.
Go to Heavy Coffee
You need to spy on the woman’s husband who is suspected to be cheating on her.
Get to Heavy Coffee.
Tail the target
Follow the target quietly without getting spotted. Hide behind objects if he turns around to look.
You will finally reach a building where he meets with a younger lady.
Get the infidelity on camera
This is now a camera mission. You need to get all four ticks on the right side of the screen.
Once you have all four, then take a photo.
You will get all four ticks as they head into the hotel.
Tail the homewrecker
After they came out of the hotel, tail the woman instead.
Similarly, don’t get caught.
The woman will finally be seen going up the same stairs as the Heavy Coffee cafe, owned by the husband of Noriko.
She will then be informed by Yagami and the mission ends here. Apparently the husband is cheating with another cafe owner on the same block.
Defeat Kasai
After coming out of your agency, you will meet some thugs.
Defeat Kasai and the men.
Head to Millennium Tower
A drone will then get your attention. Follow it to the Millennium Tower.
You will then be introduced to the drone competition.
Meet Kaito at Koi Bride
Next, you have to meet Kaito at a shop as an informant is supposedly there.
Go to the Koi Bride – fishing shop.
During the cutscene, some thugs will enter the shop.
Defeat the thugs
Together with Kaito, take the thugs out.
Check the counter
After the fight, you will be allowed to meet the dirty cop. Go to the counter and you’ll see stairs going underground.
You will now obtain 300 casino chips and a L’Amant Key for the casino.
Play a few rounds
Inside the casino, you need to play a few rounds first. It doesn’t matter what you play.
A cutscene will load once you stop playing and you’ll meet the informant. He runs the casino as well.
Return to the agency
After getting some documents from the informant, head back to the agency.
Defeat the shady men
You will then be ambushed by four shady men. Defeat all of them.
Check the intel
Next, check the intel given by the informant earlier. Just examine the parcel.
Go to Konban Wife
You get a new lead and you need to go to Konban Wife to look for Kanae-chan.
Inside, you get to choose between 35 minutes, 50 minutes or 65 minutes. Just choose the cheapest option as it doesn’t matter anyway.
Also, choose Kanae-chan as she has potential information.
During the cutscene, Hamura and his men will enter instead of Kanae-chan.
Yagami gets beaten up and thrown out of the place.
Head to the Matsugane office
Now, go to the Matsugane office to seek help from the head.
Unfortunately, he won’t help you as Hamura seems to have a huge influence on them as well.
Head to Cafe Alps
Next, get to Cafe Alps as Hamura wants to see Yagami again.
Take an open seat
Inside the cafe, sit at the empty spot.
You will then meet Hamura again but this time, he probably wants you dead.
His men will attack Yagami.
Defeat Kengo’s crew
After all the cutscenes, you need to defeat Kengo and his crew.
Defeat Kojiro Ozaki
After taking out Kengo, you now need to take on Kojiro Ozaki, a bigger-sized man.
After defeating him and his men, a cutscene will load where Kengo almost shoots Yagami, but the masked guy from earlier came to help.
Escape the Matsugane family
Now, follow the masked guy and escape from the Matsugane family.
Similarly, you need to press the relevant buttons when they pop up.
At one point, you’ll even be on a skateboard.
You will then be on foot again and you will continue running away.
This chapter 2 (Beneath the Surface) pretty much ends after running away from the Matsugane family, which is followed by chapter 3.
