Judgment (or Judge Eyes) is another Ryu Ga Gotoku game which is a spinoff of the Yakuza series.
This time, you play as Yagami, a private detective who investigates highly dangerous cases.
Here’s a walkthrough of Chapter 10 (Chumming The Water) of Judgment / Judge Eyes.
Infiltrate the Matsugane office
After the initial cutscene, you have to investigate the office using a drone.
Just fly to the Matsugane building.
You should then see this guy through the window. Examine and you’re done.
Tail Higashi
You will then see Higashi walking away with a couple of yakuzas.
Follow him without being spotted.
One by one, his yakuza will leave and you’ll have less of them to tail.
The key is to max your special abilities, like prolonging the bar at the top of the screen,
That way, you can even run past Higashi and hide, and he won’t even spot you as long as the bar is not full.
At one point, I even ran past them and hid at the upper floor.
Higashi will then go for a smoke. After the cutscene, continue tailing him.
You don’t need an actual place to hide (e.g. those with blue markers). You can just stay behind a wall and he won’t notice you.
Chase Higashi
Next, he will notice you and Kaito. Higashi then sprints away.
Chase after him.
This part is the usual chasing gameplay where you have to press certain buttons when the prompt comes up.
He then tells you that he doesn’t know where Hamura is.
Lure the Matsugane family
You then need to find a way to lure the Matsugane.
Now, just walk around the street and drink some alcohol. Keep walking.
Head to Tender
Kaito will then ask you to go to Tender to get drunk and look vulnerable.
When you’re there, you will meet the professional gambler. She then plays a game with you.
You need to observe the man and decide how many drinks he will take before going to the bathroom.
Examine the drink.
I chose the answer as two more drinks, and it was correct.
Head to Alvin
Kaito then proposes to attack the Matsugane joints. First, head to Alvin’s bar.
Defeat the Matsugane family
Defeat the yakuzas at the bar.
Hit three Matsugane clubs
Next, you have to hit three of the Matsugane family clubs.
Their locations are all shown in the map.
At the first joint I went to (Pink Romance), I had to defeat the yakuzas.
As for the next two clubs, you only need to tell the staff to inform Hamura that Yagami stopped by.
Lure the Matsugane
After hitting the 3 clubs, just walk around first.
Head to the Champion District
Kaito suggests that you go somewhere discreet and quiet. Go to the Champion District where most bars are.
Just walk in the small alleys and you will be ambushed.
Defeat the Matsugane family
As usual, defeat the Matsugane family.
Capture one of the yakuzas
Chase after one of the Matsugane yakuzas.
After capturing the guy, Hamura appears behind Kaito at gunpoint.
Plenty of men also came including Matsugane-san himself.
Kaito gets shot and they took him away. Sugiura came to rescue Yagami.
Rescue Kaito
After the cutscene, you need to rescue Kaito from the Soleil building.
Just outside the entrance, you will meet many thugs. Defeat them all.
After entering the building, you will meet the Cane Man, the same guy who attacked you outside of your agency.
Continue going upstairs and defeating all of the yakuzas on the way up.
You will then reach a room which is dark. Turn on the lights using the switch.
Keep going ahead and defeating the yakuzas.
You will meet the Cane Man a couple of times in the building.
Each time you defeat him, he will run away and grab a different weapon. He uses a spear this second time around.
The next will be a gun instead. There will be four fights with him in total.
Once again, another dark room and you need to turn on the light to see the enemy.
Proceed through the gap in the boxes.
Keep going until you see more thugs.
There are a couple of doors in this building which requires lock-picking.
Defeat the Cane Man again
For the last time, you need to defeat the Cane Man. This time, he’s waiting in a dark room.
You need to switch on the light to allow Yagami to lock-aim.
Continue the fight until you win.
Go through the door
After the fight, head to the wooden door.
A cutscene will load with Hamura waiting inside the room, holding Kaito captive.
Defeat Hamura
Finally, you need to defeat Hamura.
After defeating him, there’ll be cutscenes where Yagami takes Hamura to the Kyorei clan’s building.
