What’s up guys, I haven’t done an income report in many months and it’s 2018 already! My traffic has risen quite a lot thanks to the cryptocurrency trend and I’ve been getting most of my page views from it.
What are blogging income reports for?
Many bloggers write income reports and it serves as a great way to motivate other bloggers and to show that making money via blogging is real. Many people think bloggers don’t make enough for a living and while most bloggers don’t, some of us do.
The big difference between those who actually make money and those who don’t is how they treat their blogs. Is it a business or is it a hobby? Some do not know how to monetize their blogs as well. All of those can be learnt and it takes a lot of persistence to get it right.
Another reason for such reports is because it helps bloggers to make more affiliate sales. They inspire people by their huge figures and the flexibility of working anywhere you want in the world. Readers then sign up for blog hosting and other products via their affiliate links and they make more money.
While I probably can’t inspire you because I don’t make that much, it should at least prove that it’s possible to make money as a blogger.

Income for December 2017
The “income” for this month has not entered my bank account yet as most of these platforms pay on a Net 60 or Net 75 basis (meaning at least 2 months before you get your paycheck).
While I do earn some cryptocurrencies blogging on Steemit, I’m not including them on this report. I’m also going to show you screenshots of it to prove that it’s real, unlike some other bloggers.
Do note that my traffic was around 5,000 to 8,000 page views a day.
Mediavine: $1,621.96
Google Adsense: $420.02
Total: 2,041.98
The difference between Mediavine and Adsense is huge! Granted, I only used 3 in-content ads and some sidebar ads at most with Adsense and it’s 1-screen view with Mediavine, meaning definitely more ads with Mediavine.
Even so, the Mediavine RPM is pretty insane and I’m glad I made the shift. I didn’t include my earnings from affiliates this month because they’re really little and is negligible.
As far as expenses goes, it’s the regular shared hosting from Bluehost, the domain from GoDaddy, Tailwind subscription for Pinterest and other miscellaneous expenses.
