I’ll Save Some For You is a story mission in Days Gone involving a horde.
Your task is to clear the horde in the Old Sawmill, which is arguably the biggest.

Get to the Old Sawmill
To begin the mission, go to the Old Sawmill.
You’ll see the horde’s HP bar at the top of the screen.
Clear the horde
This is the toughest horde to clear, and there are plenty of YouTube videos on this. The best way is of course to play around the sawmill and slowly thin the horde (using explosives) as they chase after you.
It’s filled with tension and adrenaline and it’s not for everyone. If you want the more cowardly way to beat the horde, read on.
Plant some bombs
You can craft proximity bombs and remote bombs.
They come in pretty handy. Unfortunately, remote bombs have to be detonated one by one. I prefer proximity bombs due to that.
Plant the bombs in the direction you think the horde will come from.
Preparations
Before attracting the horde, put your bike facing in the opposite direction to make a swift escape, or to lure a portion of the horde out.
Also you should get stocked up with napalm molotovs / molotovs / other explosives.
You may want to use a good submachine gun as well, like the SMP9 or PDW. They have more bullets and are more powerful.
Start the fight
The horde typically gathers in one big area (image below). You can use napalm to kill many of them if they’re all together.
Use focus to throw a few molotovs in a short span of time.
Once they come after you, run as fast you can. Grab your bike and leave. A small group will follow you. You can kill them with your machine gun.
The horde separates if you get far enough. You can kill the smaller group first.
The best part about dealing with the horde is that you can actually leave and come back later.
I ran away with half the horde remaining, and came back another day to kill the rest, after restocking.
Fill truck with creosote
Once the horde is gone, get to the marked area and a cutscene will load.
Boozer will arrive with the truck to fill it with creosote.
The mission completes here. You’ll get 10,000 XP for this.
