Fortnite is highly popular for its battle royale mode and has garnered around 125 million players across all platforms around the world.
They are also known for their 50 v 50 matches (100 maximum in a round). Fortnite has recently re-introduced Soaring 50s, which is a type of 50 vs 50 battle royale mode that encourages mobility.
What is Soaring 50s
It’s still a 50 vs 50 game, meaning 50 players on each side. You will start off the game as usual, i.e. you will parachute down, collect weapons and other items.
The battle will also take place in a small circle in the map. The main difference this update brings is that you are now more mobile in the game.
This means you can jump around or even fly in the air via gliding to go to places. You’ll definitely notice more people in the sky.
Just jump from the tall building or structure (e.g. stairs) and you just have to press jump to activate sky-diving and another time to use the glider.
There are also special loots in the game where you can use a portal-like potion called Rift-To-Go.
After using it, you will appear from the sky and you can glide to your destination. It sort of generates a portal as well for other players to use.
Fortnite also included more jumping items for looting, like the jump pad for this Soaring 50s battle royale mode.
Do give it a try as it may be a limited time mode. There are also other modes to check out like the Getaway mode where you have to find jewels and escape with your teammates.
