Fire In The Sky is a side mission on Nekrotafeyo in Borderlands 3.
Your task is to set up fireworks to say goodbye to Typhon DeLeon.
Here’s a walkthrough of Fire in the Sky in Borderlands 3.
This mission is recommended for level 40 and above, but it changes according to your level.
Pick up rocket thrusters and detonator
Take the 3 parts of the rocket thrusters from the research center.
Next, pick up the detonator.
Head to Tazendeer Ruins
Next, go to Tazendeer Ruins.
Clear Maliwan from Old Base
You’ll need to get to the Old Base first. The location is shown in the map below.
You can just avoid the regular creatures and head to the base.
You’ll reach The Last House. Clear the Maliwan forces from the area.
After the first area, head to the next marker on the map.
There’ll be more Maliwan soldiers here. Kill them all.
At this second area, there’s a Typhon DeLeon crew challenge nearby.
Finally, head to the last part of the base.
Take them all out as usual.
Recover Typhon ECHO logs
Your new objective is to find 3 of Typhon’s ECHO logs. The first ECHO log is from the body of the Maliwan at the last part of the Old Base.
Head to the second log at the location shown below.
Shoot the ECHO log off the top of the platform and pick it up when it drops.
The last ECHO log is at the location shown in the map below.
As you get there, you’ll encounter an elite enemy – Omega Mantacore.
Kill the Omega Mantacore to get the last ECHO log. One easier way to defeat this elite is to hide behind the rocks. You can use the rocks to avoid his energy orb attacks.
Pick up the last ECHO log from the dead enemy.
Assemble rocket
Head back to the main area of the Old Base.
Assemble all 3 parts of the rocket.
Place the 3 ECHO logs you found on the rocket.
Place detonator
Next, put the detonator on the platform nearby.
Launch the rocket and just observe it.
Talk to Sparrow
Go back to the research center and speak with Sparrow.
The mission completes after all the dancing. You’ll earn some cash as reward.
