Order 46 is one of the main story missions for Sam in Kojima’s Death Stranding.
Your task is to transport Mama all the way to Mountain Knot City to meet her twin sister.
Here’s a walkthrough of Order 46 in Death Stranding.
Get prepped
Before you start the mission, be prepared for a boss fight. Get prepped and stocked with hematic grenades as they do well with monster BTs.
Also, you can use a floating carrier to carry your cargo since you need to put Mama on your back.
Defeat the monster BT
A cutscene will load and you’ll meet Higgs again. He summons another monster BT.
After the cutscene, your items should be dropped nearby. Pick up your hematic grenades. They’re all you need for this fight.
The anti-BT pistol doesn’t work so well.
Keep throwing the grenades at the BT until it dies.
After the boss dies, pick up the chiral crystals left behind. You should find over a thousand CGs worth of them.
Head to Mountain Knot City
After the boss fight, continue towards Mountain Knot City.
There are two ways. One is through the mountain, the other through the side which is a longer route but easier to navigate.
We chose the mountain route instead. If you had taken the route around the mountain, a vehicle would come in handy and you’ll have to avoid the MULEs.
If you take the mountain route, be prepared for a long journey as climbing up takes such a damn long time.
We took the reverse trike all the way up the mountain (move up sideways if you can’t go straight up) but its battery died off at the peak.
If that happens, just keep walking all the way until you reach the Mountain Knot City.
Reach the terminal and deliver Mama. A cutscene will load and your job is done.
