Dauntless is a game that is quite similar to Monster Hunter World in terms of concept.
That being said, it’s quite a different game as it’s overall more simple and easy to play.
This game has a crafting system as well, and shock orbs are pretty necessary.
Here’s how you can get shock orbs in Dauntless.
What are shock orbs for?
The main purpose of getting shock orbs is to allow you to do upgrades.
For equipment and weapons of the shock element, you’ll need these shock orbs to upgrade them and increase their level.
For e.g. this Drask Thundering Blade requires 1 or 2 shock orbs to upgrade. This applies to all weapons.
If you have a pistol of the shock element, you’ll need these orbs as well.
How to get shock orbs
You can probably get shock orbs from quests early on, but they are limited.
The best way to farm these orbs is by doing Patrols.
At the hunting board, you should see Patrols and Pursuits. Patrols allow you to earn at least 10 orbs per completion.
There are also daily patrol bonus rewards where you get an additional 10 orbs depending on which element you chose.
In each Patrol, you’re only required to kill one behemoth and the behemoth is random.
That’s pretty much it on how to get shock orbs in Dauntless.
