Dark Zone East Recon is a type of mission in Tom Clancy’s The Division 2.
This mission / activity will be introduced to you sometime after you’ve progressed in the game.
Here’s a walkthrough of Dark Zone East Recon in The Division 2.
This mission is recommended for those level 15 and above. After completing this mission, you will unlock the east side of the Dark Zone.
It enables you to get in the area and extract equipment you find.
Get to the Dark Zone gate
Your first objective is to head towards the gate. You will find some hostiles outside.
Open the gate
Get to the gate and open it.
Neutralize the hostiles
You will then encounter several hostiles. Eliminate them first.
Open the gate using laptop
Find the laptop to open the gate.
Once the gate is opened, enter DZ east.
Enter Dark Zone East (DZ East)
Get to this door with the biohazard symbol. It’s the gate to DZ East.
Once you’re in, get to the next door.
Reach scan location
You should just use a GPS for this mission.
Head towards the scan location.
Once you’re there, activate the scanner and this will happen (image below).
Reach the military camp
Now, get to the military camp ahead.
Tag the supplies
Once you’re there, you have to tag the supplies around the area.
You should encounter another soldier here. Kill him too.

Reach scan location
Once you’re done, get to the next scan location.
Reach the body storage vault
Activate echo
After arriving, activate echo and watch the transmission.
Neutralize the hostiles
Some hostiles will then appear. Neutralize them.
There’s also one heavily armored guy here.
Reach the safe house
After securing the area, get to the safe house.
It’s the one with the word Channel on the building.
Start the generators
Once you’re in, start the generators in the building. There are two.
Reactivate security
Once the power is back, reactivate security using the laptop.
Exit the room
If you’re done here, get out of the room.
Investigate contaminated gear
You now have to look for contaminated gear. Get to the side where you have to climb down using the rope.
Neutralize hostiles
Once you’ve reached, there’ll be hostiles for you to kill.
Retrieve contaminated gear
After the hostiles are dead, grab the contaminated gear.
Reach the extraction area
Go towards the extraction point once you have the gear.
After activating the extraction, secure the extraction site. There may not be any hostiles here.
Attach contaminated gear
Once the helicopter is hear, attach the contaminated items manually.
Return to the checkpoint
Once extraction is done, get back to the checkpoint.
Near the checkpoint, there are more hostiles inside. Get rid of them.
Activate the turret
Once you’re at the checkpoint, you have to activate the turret on the crate.
Defend the checkpoint
Hostiles will start coming in. Kill them quickly before they get to you. Some may be suicide bombers or are melee attackers.
Exit DZ East
Once the area is secure, get out of DZ East.
Reach the SHD terminal
Once you’re out, get to the SHD terminal.
The mission completes and you’ve unlocked access to DZ East.
