Beneath The Meridian: Borderlands 3 Walkthrough And Guide

Beneath the Meridian is a main mission in Promethea in Borderlands 3.

Your task is to get to the vault under Meridian and eventually open the vault.

Here’s a walkthrough of Beneath the Meridian in Borderlands 3.

This mission is recommended for level 18 and above.

Head towards Meridian Metroplex

After meeting the crew at the bridge, head towards Meridian Metroplex.

The location of Neon Arterial is shown in the map below.

Eliminate Maliwan squad

When you get near the area, you’ll meet a Maliwan squad. Take them all out. You will have Maliwan soldiers helping you.

Talk to Zer0

When you enter, you’ll see Zer0 waiting. Talk to him.

Go to Neon Arterial

Enter Neon Arterial. You will meet Maya inside.

Drive to Apollyon Station

Grab the Double-D vehicle and drive to Apollyon Station. The location is shown below.

Along the way, you’ll meet many enemy vehicles. Take them all out.

You need to destroy the enemy vehicles before you can proceed further.

Once the area is secure, park your vehicle in front of the blocked entrance. Maya will blast it open.

Continue your journey until you reach another roadblock. Kill the enemies first.

Similarly, park your vehicle at the gate and Maya will do the rest.

Enter Apollyon Station

You’ll then have to go on foot. Maya will accompany you.

Head towards Apollyon Station.

Right from the outside, you’ll have to clear the enemies.

Once the area is secure, head into the building. Maya will blast through the door.

Once you reach the subway area, there’ll be more mobs waiting for you. Clear the area again.

Find tunnel to vault

Next, you’ll have to find the tunnel to the vault. The location is provided in the map.

Enter through this hole.

Find vault

Keep walking in the tunnel until you reach the vault at the end.

On your way, you’ll come across Guardians. They protect the vault and will kill you when you get close. You can avoid the Guardian if the level is too high.

There was one level 28 Guardian at the front. Just keep running further in to avoid battling it.

When you’re further inside, there’ll be more Guardians but they are all lower levels.

You can easily take them all out.

Keep going until you reach this vault door. Enter the vault.

Jump into the vault

After opening the pathway, jump into the vault. This will be a boss fight.

Place the vault key on the platform to begin.

Defeat The Rampager (boss)

After placing the key, a portal will open. The Rampager will appear.

This fight isn’t too difficult but it isn’t that easy as well.

It’s easier in the beginning of the battle but this monster will undergo transformations in between.

You need to watch out for the fireballs that are capable of melting your shield.

After sometime, it will be injured. You’ll have room to put in a lot of damage.

If you’re using Moze, you can keep your Iron Bear until that small gap to put in lots of damage.

After a certain time, it will become invulnerable and that’s when it’s transforming.

Shoot at the blue energies above the Rampager. Not sure what effect it has but Maya will ask you to do so. Maybe it reduces the impact of the evolved form.

After it evolves, the fireballs turn into corrosive balls.

If it evolves the second time, it will use a stronger version of the fireballs.

The best way perhaps to stay safe during the fight is to use the platform as a barrier. When it jumps down, I jump up and vice versa; as long as it blocks the fireballs.
