Angels and Speed Demons is a main mission in Borderlands 3 based in Pandora.
Your task is to try and attack the COV defenses, and find Tannis’ secret lab.
Here’s a walkthrough of Angels and Speed Demons in Borderlands 3.
This mission is recommended for level 32 and above.
Talk to Lilith
Your first objective is to go back to Sanctuary.
Talk to Lilith who’s waiting for you at the bridge.
Go to Roland’s Rest
Meet Vaughn at Roland’s Rest. There’ll be an attack by COV forces here.
Secure the area first.
Attack the COVs
Next, follow Vaughn and the allies to attack the COVs nearby. The plan will clearly fail and you’ll have to retreat.
Defend Roland’s Rest
Next, go back to Roland’s Rest. There’ll be an attack by COV forces again. Take them all out.
Kill the Anointed
Troy will deploy two Anointed enemies here, along with other regular mobs.
Kill all of them.
Regroup with Vaughn
After securing the area, speak with Vaughn again.
This time, follow him to the hidden lab entrance.
He’ll lead you to this door. Once the door is opened, enter the next area – Konrad Hold.
Find Tannis’ hidden lab
Your main objective in Konrad’s Hold is to find Tannis’ hidden lab.
Secure the area first.
As the path is blocked, look for a long way around. Follow the marker on the map below.
You’ll have to clear quite a number of enemies along the way.
The path is blocked again.
Open transport door
You’ll need to open the transport door as shown below.
Press all 3 switches but they won’t work.
Break the door open
As the door won’t open, head to the minecart nearby. Shoot at the gas tank and the cart will break through the door.
Continue looking for the lab
Once you’re down here, you’ll need to continue looking for the lab.
This place is filled with enemies.
Keep killing the enemies as you go on, or just ignore them as you proceed.
Finally, you’ll reach an elevator. Press the button to go up.
Right after you reach the higher floor, there’ll be enemies waiting. Kill them all.
After getting out, you will reach an area filled with Varkid creatures.
Legendary Hunt (optional)
There’ll be an optional Legendary Hunt crew challenge here by Hammerlock.
Kill the elite mob and the underlings.
This enemy can transform into a Tink for a short while as well.
After killing it, the crew challenge is complete.
Head to Tannis’ lab
Continue on your way to Tannis’ lab. Enter the building with the Dahl Petrol sign.
You’ll have to break the floor to proceed. Shoot at the pipe above and it will fall on the ground.
Jump down into the basement.
Continue walking through the mine rails.
You’ll then reach an area where Tannis asks you to touch the minecart. Melee it.
More enemies will appear. Secure the area.
Finally, enter the lab.
You’ll then need to disengage the 4 couplings. Shoot at them.
Load reactor
To load the reactor, look for the lever shown in the image below.
You don’t need to touch any of the four buttons on the other side.
Go to garage
Head to Sandblast Scar to grab the vehicle.
Drive reactor to safety
You’ll then need to drive the vehicle with the reactor to safety. Vaughn will be with you.
Along the way, there’ll be plenty of COV guys shooting at you, whether from vehicles or from towers.
You can ignore most of them except maybe the vehicles right in front of you. Just keep driving as fast as you can.
At one point, you need to destroy the gas tank to blow open a pathway. Drive through the falling debris.
Keep going until you reach the parking lot. Place the vehicle there.
Meet Vaughn in Roland’s Rest
Head back to Roland’s Rest to meet Vaughn.
You’ll unlock new parts for vehicles.
The mission also completes here. You’ll get cash and a legendary shield.
