Start-Up episode 4 was just released about an hour ago and we can’t wait for next week’s episode.
Samsan Tech, In-jae and Dal-mi all managed to make it into the first round of Sand Box pre-acceptance in episode 4.
Here’s a preview of episode 5 of Start-Up (Korean Drama).
Episode 4 ending
Towards the end of episode 4, Dal-mi finally found out that Do-san isn’t as successful as he portrayed, and it was a lie.
However, at this point, she still doesn’t know that Do-san wasn’t the one who wrote the letters. Do-san and his team failed to land the CEO role in the hackathon. Both In-jae and Dal-mi asked them to join their team, and Do-san chose Dal-mi instead.
In the epilogue, we see that Yoon Sun-hak, the one in charge of Sand Box, read the application forms by Dal-mi and In-jae. In the application, she saw a paragraph about their father (Chung-myung) who put sand under the swings so that they don’t fall down. She then remembers Chung-myung who managed to get her investment years ago but the latter passed on. Sun-hak then kept laughing (probably in joy) as she recalls the past.
Also, the Korean American (Alex) who was at the CODA judging team seems to have arrived in South Korea.
Episode 5 preview
In the preview for episode 5, we see Dal-mi, Samsan Tech and the lady (played by Stephanie) working together. This means the fifth member is probably the lady at the bookstore who Dal-mi outsmarted to earn 5,000 won.
Dal-mi is also seen giving a talk as the CEO of the group. We then see Ji-pyeong asking the grandma Won-deok whether she regretted sending him for college instead of Dal-mi. Both Dal-mi and Do-san are also seen saying they want to succeed (indirectly).
Ji-pyeong is then seen asking Do-san how much Dal-mi found out about their deal. Dal-mi also asked Ji-pyeong why the latter is going into great lengths to lie about the whole thing.
